Practical matters
The small print
The crown is paid for in crypto — Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and 300+ other coins, through a secure hosted invoice. There is no card checkout and we never see your wallet. The crown is granted the moment the payment confirms on-chain.
The crown is held while you pay. Opening checkout reserves it for you alone — nobody else can start a purchase, and everyone else sees a countdown. If your transaction is confirming on-chain, the hold extends automatically, so a slow block cannot cost you the crown. Walk away and it lapses, and the next challenger gets their turn.
If you somehow still get outbid, you are refunded. It is rare now — the hold exists precisely to stop two people paying for the same crown — but if a hold lapses and a late payment lands after someone else has taken it, we return the funds rather than keep them.
Your photo and name are public the moment you are crowned, and stay in the archive afterwards. Do not upload anything you would not want to be permanent internet history.
Anything abusive gets removed — the reign stays in the record, but the image or name is redacted.
